I paint abstractions of landscape to give substance to my ideas; I mostly work intuitively. I choose intense colors because, for me, color invokes emotional response and creates connection to memories. I love the way colors hum against each other, portraying radiance in nature. The ideas in my art feel familiar, but transcend explanation, hopefully there is something that everyone can connect with.
The places in the paintings feel like they could come from a dream, the place between awake and asleep.

I use acrylic, water-based oil and watercolor, often layered, cracked, and scraped off of each other. I love adding metallic pigments and transparent mediums to my paintings, creating a new look in every type of light.

I decided to be a “real” artist when I was five. I began my very early art career by getting up at 5 am to paint with Bob Ross on public television.   Influenced by my grandma’s modern paintings, and a family full of creative people, I majored in painting in college and didn't look back.  Having painted professionally for 14 years, I have completed countless murals and fine art projects, and have paintings in homes around the world.
